Bob Jones

For several years in a row in the early 80’s Bob Jones had a visitation by an angel. Each time he told Bob to get ready because he would have a face-to-face visitation by the Lord Jesus. So each year Bob waited with great anticipation. However in 1984 the same angel appeared to him and said that he should get his questions ready because the Lord would visit him on July 3^rd.  Bob prayed about the questions he wanted to ask Jesus but felt it was better to let the Lord do the talking.

All day long Bob waited patiently. I know his heart was filled with joy yet awesome fear of the Lord. When would He come, Bob wondered. As the day went on he began wondering if he misunderstood the angel? Well at three o’clock in the afternoon as Bob sat quietly at his table on the screened-in porch, a Light came and blinded him. And from this white Light the Lord stepped out and shook Bob’s hand. Jesus said, “Dear friend, I’ve been looking forward to meeting you!” Then He asked Bob if he had his questions ready. Bob’s response was that he didn’t have any because he wanted the Lord to do all the talking.

Jesus told Bob about many things that would begin to happen. One thing was Amos 9:11 and how the Tabernacle of David would be restored. It would be 24/7 worship like IHOP and there would be praise day and night. He said there was a breach in the tabernacle because people took the glory for themselves. But this time man wouldn’t touch His glory and it would abide. Then He talked with Bob about Amos 9:13 and how the plowman would overtake the reaper. When Amos 9:11 was fulfilled then Amos 9:13 would take place.

After thirty minutes the Lord said, “Dear friend, I must go now but will you pray some prayers to Me?” This puzzled Bob. Why would the Lord want Bob to pray scripture back to Him? But Jesus asked Bob to pray these prayers to Him and so he obeyed.

The first prayer was Psalms 12:1 “Help Lord for the godly man parishes and no one lays it to heart.” Jesus was talking about the mighty men of valor, the Davids or the dread champions. We need to return His word to Him. In Psalms 89:19-20 God means to raise up dread champions that will champion His cause and go throughout the world. This will bring in the end-time harvest.

Once You spoke in a vision to Your godly ones,
And said, “I have given help to one who is mighty [giving him the power to be a champion for Israel];
I have exalted one chosen from the people.
“I have found David My servant;
With My holy oil I have anointed him (Psalms 89:19-20)

The second thing Jesus asked Bob to pray was that Jesus would help the church’s faith that it would not fail and that they would overcome their unbelief. The third prayer He asked Bob to pray for was power. And Bob prayed, “Lord will you give us power? And the Lord said He would do this in the order that Bob prayed.

At that time Bob believed the Lord was talking about dunamis power. It wasn’t till years later that he realized what the Lord was talking about in 1984. There are four powers getting ready to be released to the body of Christ today. They are dunamis, exousia, kratos and ischus.

Dunamis is the power within us by virtue of the nature of the Holy Spirit.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; (Acts 1:8)

Exousia power means being ordained or commissioned and giving you liberty and jurisdiction. (Matthew 10:8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Kratos means the demonstrated power because we’re strengthened with might and resurrection power. (Colossians 1:10-11) that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

Ischus is God’s manifested unlimited power according to Ephesians 1:19

And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 

The Lord asked Bob to pray for power. Although at that time Bob did not have full understanding he prayed and believed. It wasn’t until 2011 that he gained full understanding of what the Lord meant in 1984. But He said that day thirty-four years ago that He would release these powers and with understanding Christians can do it.

I believe we have been witnessing the unfolding of these prayers over the past thirty-four years. We have seen many dread champions rise up in the body of Christ with a heart like King David. Faith has increased and continues to be intensified. And Christians are beginning to walk in the faith of God not faith in Him.

Now today we need to believe Psalms 111:10 where God says He’s restoring the fear of the Lord with wisdom and understanding. Because as Bob has stated, “With understanding you can accomplish the things the Lord is calling you to do.”

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. (Psalms 111:10)
