The Bounce House

Intro

Let me start by saying that the 2021 Shepherd’s Rod is incredible and I can’t wait until it is released to the Body. In this year’s edition of the Shepherd’s Rod I included 3 dreams that I felt God was speaking to the whole Body. When I began unpacking this short dream I thought there was not a lot to it. Much like in the dream it transformed into something more than was expected. As we entered into November Bonnie suggested that I present one of my dreams for the Word of the Month. I think it is where we are as the Church and what is about to happen; and so I felt it perfect for a now word.

The Dream

I was in a large field of rolling hills. I had a goal of taking flight from this location and was looking for the means to accomplish it. At this point my sister and her husband approached with this small inflatable looking thing. I kept my attention on them as they unfolded and unfolded and unfolded it. As they unfolded the object it began to fill up. Within a minute this small inflatable object became a towering 75 to 100 foot tall bounce house. It was also 50 foot or so in width and depth. I did not see an entrance point to this bounce house that is common for all bounce houses. I stood looking up at this amazingly big object until the dream ended.

The Interpretation

First, I wanted to let you know that I teach a bit as I interpret so that it might be easier for another to learn how to do the same. There are a couple of ways that one could interpret the bounce house itself, either good or evil. I feel that way about most things in dreams. Not all snakes in dreams are bad and not all beams of light are good. There are usually other indicators in dreams to help you decipher their true nature. The best way is bringing the whole dream to the Lord and letting Him teach you how to interpret.

The bounce house, if it were a bad thing would have some bad characteristics that stood out: like being puffed up, full of hot air or showy. 1 Corinthians 4 gives a good description on what being puffed up is and isn’t like; and the bounce house didn’t seem to fit a boastful profile. It however was brought out by my sister and her husband, whom I feel represent Wisdom and Jesus respectively. I feel that those two are good company to be found in and also validate the nature of the bounce house.

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call understanding your nearest kin. (Proverbs 7:4)

The other validating characteristic about the nature of the bounce house would be how I felt in the dream. I did not feel dread or terror or fear. I was rather in awe at how large it became; but my sister and her husband did not warn or caution me about it. So I take all of that into consideration when I say that in its nature it is a good thing coming.

There was no conversation in this dream, only intent and action. My intent was in taking flight from the field of rolling hills location. Wisdom’s intent was to unfold, expand or extend something. Wisdom’s action was to unfold what seemed like a small couch pillow at first. There were several unfolds that happened, each one doubling the previous size of the structure.

What I believe this Bounce House represents is the Household of God. The season that we have been going through has been a tough one. This structure is being unfolded as a safe spot for the Household of God; a place where the children of God can bounce their ideas off of one another safely; a place where through exercising their childlike faith they can be strengthened and grow. This place has no fear of falling in it. It is where the righteous may fall seven times and rise again. (Proverbs 24:16)

And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:16)

The house has a lot of folds in it. This is one house with many folds. (John 14:2) My previous dream, “The Light at the End of the Tunnel” said it differently in that all lanes were going to merge into one. With the merging that is going to take place I am thankful that the Wisdom of God is already preparing a safe place for that to happen.

What I really enjoyed seeing, or should I say not seeing, was that there was no physical entrance onto this bounce house. Although I didn’t try it in the dream, this household is only accessible by faith. This means the enemy has no access. In fact that is what a fold does. A sheepfold was an encircling wall of stones that protected the sheep from predators and thieves. With a sheepfold there is a physical gateway to let the sheep in and out. But the household of God’s gateway is Faith. Since our adversary has no faith he has no access.

There is more in the folds as well. The household of God means that that structure is us, the church. Each unfolding of it, or you could say each new revelation doubled it in size. This speaks of harvest and the coming revelation that will draw in the harvest. It sat on the top of the highest hill in a field of rolling hills and was where I thought was the best place to take flight from. The field also speaks of harvest. In fact the field of rolling hills is a place of many evangelistic points and with all folds coming into one house this should not be surprising.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)

The Church is getting ready to take flight. It is in just about the best place to do so. As the unfolding of Jesus’ next revelation takes place we need to be sure that our lamps are not hidden but that we steward the revelation as it comes. All folds are being brought into one house and as they come into a unity in the revelation the Church will begin doubling.

Among many other confirming scriptures Ephesians Chapters 3 and 4 share many similarities with what I’ve seen about this bounce house dream. Here are some of them.

1. By revelation He makes known the mystery.
2. That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body.
3. That now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church.
4. We have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
5. We may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height -to know the love of Christ.
6. That you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
7. That we keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
8. Edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.
9. That we may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
