The Church’s Rosetta Stone

The Church’s Rosetta Stone

The Church’s Rosetta Stone

Recently in a vision, the Lord acted as a tour guide when He drove me through an old town that was unfamiliar to me. When we came to the town’s square, He stopped the vehicle and drew my attention to a statue uniquely displayed there.

There before my eyes stood a tall, granite, obelisk shaped monument. On top of its base was a statue of a woman holding a large water pitcher on her right shoulder. The water was being poured out of the pitcher and flowing down over the monument. As I took a closer look I heard the Lord say “She could recite the 23rd Psalm in every language.”

The names of many different languages of the world were written on all four sides of the base. From top to bottom I began to read them; Korean, Japanese, Italian, English, Chinese, Indonesian, Norwegian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and many more. As I watched the water being poured out of the pitcher and over the nations He said “The sad thing was the woman had left the church and went elsewhere.”

I realized that what I just witnessed was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit by godly Wisdom. It had an endless flow pouring over the nations. Wisdom could recite Psalm 23, the Lord’s Prayer, over all the nations of the world in their native language. So every tongue or tribe or nation could hear and understand; like on the day of Pentecost!

 The Rosetta Stone

This was the Rosetta Stone! The ancient Egyptian stone inscribed in three languages; hieroglyphic, Demotic Egyptian and Koine Greek that the French scholar and Egyptologist, Jane Francois Champollion needed to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics. He broke the hieroglyphic code by comparing it with the other two languages which were translations of the same text. The discovery of the stone in 1799 made it possible for scholars to translate Egyptian texts and to understand the historical background of Israel’s history. The Rosetta Stone has been key as a translation tool for all languages.

Psalm 23

There are 10 redemptive names of God in Psalm 23.

Vs 1  The Lord is my Shepherd (Jehovah Rohi – the Lord my Shepherd). I shall not lack. (Jehovah Jira – the God who provides)

Vs 2  He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. (Jehovah Shalom – the God of Peace)

Vs 3  He refreshes and restores my soul; (Jehovah Rapha – the God that Heals). He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (Jehovah Tsidikenu – The God of Righteousness).

Vs 4  Yes, though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, (Jehovah Makkeh – The God Who Smites) for You are with me; Your rod and staff, they comfort me. (Jehovah Gmolah – The God of Recompense)

Vs 5  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. (Jehovah Shammah – God of Presence) You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. (Jehovah MKaddesh – God Who Sanctifies)

Vs 6  Surely goodness, mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, (Jehovah Tsebahoth – God of Hosts) and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Wisdom Has Left the Church

The sad thing, said the Lord, she has left the church and gone elsewhere! The world is full of wisdom and so is much of the church; but there is little godly wisdom. We’ve been taught to fear everything; man, the devil, lack of work and finances, sickness, disease, storms. We have become a fear driven people. We as Christians are only allowed to fear GOD; nothing else!

The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

Wisdom is pouring out the Holy Spirit of God over the nations of this world. She is not limited! She’s reciting the 23rd Psalm over them with the ten redemptive names of God. He is our Shepherd, Provider, Peacemaker, Healer, Righteousness, Warrior, Rewarder, Always Present, Savior, and Lord of Hosts.

I feel this is an invitation to Ask for the nations as our inheritance! (Psalm 2:8) God’s heart is for all peoples, tongues, tribes and nations. As the Spirit of God is poured out we must call unto Him and He will answer us and show us great and mighty things which we did not know or understand. (Jeremiah 33:3)

We will be led by godly Wisdom into the secrets and mysteries of God. And like on the day of Pentecost, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other languages (Acts 2:4) so will the nations, tribes and tongues come together in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit.

Faith of God

Since Wisdom had the pitcher on her right shoulder, I believe she was indicating the church moving from having faith in God to having the faith of God. The church is learning how to rest in Him and trust only Him.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

Let us follow the Good Shepherd with His full provision as He leads us by the still waters and restores our souls. Let Him lead us into the path of righteousness for His name’s sake. Let us never fear the evil one as we walk through the dark night of the soul; His rod and staff will comfort us. When our enemies persecute and accuse us, let us eat from His banqueting table as He anoints our head with oil. His mercy and unfailing love will follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in His presence forever.
