A Call To Prayer

A Call To Prayer

One of the warnings given to me around December 2005 through a recent revelation has to do with the biblical balance of looking to our glorious future while also trusting God for the restoration of things lost in our past. Both are part of God’s blueprint and promise; but like all spiritual principles, they must be kept in proper balance.

We are presently living in a day of restoration. The thief has set out to plunder, kill, and destroy God’s people. Many seasoned Christians have been through extended battles with the adversary who has devoured finances, joy, spiritual provision and many of our promised blessings.

Even so, the Bible also affirms that the Lord will restore all that has been devoured by our adversary. (Joel 2:25) The fulfillment of that pledge is presently taking place and will escalate. Grace is being extended to plunder the enemy’s camp. Nevertheless, in our pursuit to apprehend direct restoration of our inheritance, we also cannot afford to be caught in the trap of looking too intensely at the past.

Our greatest destiny and spiritual heritage is still ahead. Therefore, our counsel is to release to the Lord the issues of our past and trust Him to bring forward the restoration of our lost inheritance while at the same time focusing ardently on the glorious future promised to His people.

Matthew 13 declares that every scribe instructed in the ways of God’s Kingdom, brings forth from his treasure both things old and new. That same principle applies to the appropriation of our inheritance. It will be the mingling of those things restored as well as the unprecedented release of Heaven’s fresh manna.

There are great secrets of God waiting for us in the future. (Daniel 12:4) We cannot be unduly focused on the past, but faithfully trusting God and His promise to restore, in amplified ways, our lost heritage.

Our Call to Prayer

On November 23, 2005, Bob was also given Isaiah 56:7 as a scriptural emphasis for this season.

Even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.

In the experience, he was specifically told that the numerical order of this Scripture also highlighted an emphasis for a three year season. The 5, 6, and 7 represented the years 2005, 2006 and 2007. Already we have written of the important nature of extraordinary prayer and learning the art of waiting on God during this interim period.

God’s house, His people, are to become houses of prayer. It will be through consecrated prayer that the full revelation of God’s kingdom will be birthed. The remainder of 2005 along with the next two years will be focused on our call to consecrated prayer and revelatory intercession.

We have written on this in further detail in the 2006 Shepherd’s Rod. We are to primarily recognize this calling and devote ourselves to it. The standard Christian life is to be a one devoted to prayer and waiting on God, however this word is a call to extraordinary prayer to launch us into the next phase of God’s plan. Many people are committing several hours a day to petitioning God’s Throne to birth the revelation of His kingdom in this last age. That trend will continue.
