Shekinah Glory

Shekinah Glory

Shekinah is the Glory of the Gods!

In a vision an angel who looked like a soldier dressed in armor took me to the top of the mountain where he told me, “Shekinah is the glory of the gods!”

I said, “You are gods,? And all of you are children of the Most High.(Psalm 82:6 NKJ)

Jesus declared that we are the children of the Most High God. (John 10:34) Since we are heirs with Christ, we are (little) gods. Therefore, I believe the glory of the gods (children) is the Shekinah residing in and flowing through them. When they step aside and allow Him to be ever present and do the kingdom work, the Shekinah will shine forth from within them.

Jesus is the Light of the world; Christ in me the Hope of Glory. (Colossians 1:27) Christ, the Anointed One dwelled among us to give us light so that we might live with Him. Christ means the Anointed and He calls us brothers and joint heirs with Him. The Father wanted to share His Anointed Son with us so that we might be His anointed children. Therefore being a joint heir moving in power and demonstration of the kingdom of which they reside.

The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.” Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? (John 10:33-36 NKJ)

In the Old Testament we first see the visible manifestation of the Shekinah glory as a pillar of fire that led the way for the Israelite children out of Egypt. Again we see it manifest unto Moses as a burning bush on Mt. Sinai. And later the Shekinah glory rests on Mt. Sinai in the form of a cloud. It was a devouring fire on the top of the mountain that all Israel could see. (Exodus 24:15-18)

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. (Exodus 13:21)

In John 17:22 Jesus prays that the glory that the Father gave Him, He in turn gave to all believers so that they would become one just as He and the Father are one. Christ is the everlasting manifestation of the Shekinah glory present in the believer. Its time the outer raying of the manifestation of glory is released through the body of believers.

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. (John 17:20-24)

In the New Testament we see evidence of the Shekinah glory following the resurrection. Believers brought the sick out and laid them on their beds in the streets so that Peter’s shadow might fall on them and heal them. Even those with unclean spirits were healed and delivered. (Acts 5:11-16) It wasn’t Peter’s shadow falling on them, but the glory of God within him that when it touched them they were healed and delivered.

And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. (Acts 5:12-16)

It was Christ in Peter, the eternal hope of Shekinah glory that resonated through him and upon coming into contact with an unclean spirit, the spirit left and the sick were healed and the lame walked. The same glory was evident in the ministry of men like John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, Oral Roberts, AA Allen and others. These anointed men of God were little gods filled with the Shekinah glory that God demonstrated His power through. They were forerunners of this anointing that is available to all believers. Bob Jones was a forerunner as well. The power of the glory rested in his hands. I believe that as the body of believers “believes” that this is their entitlement and inheritance, they will receive that which they believe for.

I believe that during this season and the seasons to follow, we will see the coming forth of the children of God. As these little gods will reign on the earth honoring their Father in the things they say and do.  Get ready for God’s Shekinah glory to rest in and upon the His children. They will not take the glory for themselves; they will give it back to the Father.
