Recently I had an extraordinary experience where the Holy Spirit took me into a large empty looking warehouse in heaven. He gently began moving me in a backward direction as He held my shoulders in His hands. Although at this point I did not see anything I felt absolute peace. It was as if I was floating in mid air while resting in His hands. I began thanking the Holy Spirit, God and Jesus verbally. I could hear myself speaking praises to the Godhead. When we reached the end of the room Holy Spirit didn’t stop but turned me around taking me back to where we began. Or so I thought.

 

It appeared that we were about at the halfway point when we stopped moving and He stood me to my feet. Twice He laid hands on my back. First He pressed on my lower back while I was standing and again when I was face down on the floor. Next He turned me over on to my back and then I was sitting in mid-air facing the wall. Holy Spirit’s back was against the wall and my feet were in His hands. He began pressing on the heels of my feet then specifically the right one. It seemed like it should hurt but it didn’t.

 

I tried to see what He was doing but I was just able to see a portion. Suddenly a lightening bolt came through His hands and into my foot. It was electrifying and reminded me of a power tower; and He was releasing this power! As this was happening I could see the illumination of light from the power. His hands were wrapped around my right foot as power was being imparted. I was squinting to see Him yet I could only see the presence of the power of His glory.

 

Once again I began praising the Lord and thanking Holy Spirit for this experience. It then ended and I was awake, it was 3:02 a.m. I was still praising Him out loud, I was in awe of what had just taken place. I believe there was an impartation of supernatural faith released to continue my faith walk in Christ with dunamis power.

 

 

 

So what does this experience mean? Personally I believe the Lord is re-positioning and re-commissioning me. Yet I serve as a parable of what Christ is doing with His bride if she is willing to submit to this transition.  I felt He was repositioning me as we made the turn around. I had gone as far as I could in the old anointing. Not that it’s gone, however to complete the fullness of what God called me to do I need repositioned. And with this new assignment comes more responsibility. The old anointing remains but the new will supersede or far surpass the old one. One of the last things Bob said to me before he passed was that he had taken the body of Christ as far as he could. Now I must take them higher. Like Moses and Joshua, Moses was anointed to take the children of Israel “to the Promised Land” while Joshua was anointed to take them “into it.”

 

I believe this is true for many believers in the body today. God is looking for willing vessels that are not afraid to step out in faith and take a risk. What’s it going to look like? I don’t know but I know the One who does and He will guide us into all truth. 

 

According to Webster “commission” means an instruction, command, or duty given to a person or group of people. It also can refer to a group of people officially charged with a particular function.

 

Our new commissioning will far surpass the old one! Our old anointing got us where we are today. It is part of our testimony but it will not sustain us in the Promised Land. We’ve eaten manna in our wilderness journey but now it’s time to gear up and be fully charged and available for His service and purpose. Many believers are going to be repositioned geographically while others will be given new blueprints and coordinates to follow. It’s time we ask for new commissions and with joy and gladness accept them.

 

 

 

There’s a new storm brewing on the horizon and we must be ready to ride its furious waves. Many will get stuck in the under currant of this massive wave and be unproductive. Yet many more are ready to ride this powerful wave to shore bringing nets full of fish with them. Jesus said, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. (Mark 4:19-20) The invitation is open to every believer; God is an equal opportunity employer. He’s looking for available vessels that are willing to lay it all on the line, pick up their cross and follow Him. Without delay!
