Marriage of the Apostolic & Prophetic

Recently I had a profound vision where two orange extension cords were joined together making one power cord. It looked as if they were suspended in mid air so one was actually higher than the other. Although they fit together nicely I knew they needed to be tied in a knot to strengthen them. Because when the power surge came the tension would intensify and they would pull apart.

I knew this is a marriage of the apostolic and prophetic ministries! And unless the two are knotted together with the love of Christ it’s not going to work and the power won’t flow freely. This will cause a separation and the power will once again fail. Then I heard the Lord say, “The time is drawing nigh when I release My power to the body of believers. Long ago Bob had the revelation and now you will see it come to pass. It’s the right of passage, says God and it will not end.”

Bob Jones Revelation From 1984

On July 3, 1984 Bob had a visitation from the Lord at which time He asked him to pray three things to Him. First He told Bob to pray Psalm 12:1 – Help Lord for the godly man perishes. Bob said we need the dread champions like David and Gideon to rise up. They won’t sell out to the enemy and they won’t compromise. Secondly, He told Bob to ask that his faith fail not and to help his unbelief. And Bob prayed this because the body of Christ will need great faith and not fall into unbelief. The third thing He said was to ask for power. Bob prayed, Lord Jesus will you loose power to us? The Lord said He would answer all three requests but He said it was not yet time to release the power. The Lord said He’s raising up leaders that won’t sell out for girls, gold or glory and both male and female would be part of this end time movement. He also said that their temptations will be far greater than Paul’s but He would raise them up to carry His government on their shoulders.

In Bob’s second prophecy he was trying to put two power cords together but they were too far apart so he couldn’t make the connection. The Lord told Bob that at the right time He would connect them and when He does the dunamis power would be released in the earth. The Greek “dunamis” is used 120 times in the New Testament and refers to “strength, power, or ability.” It is the root word of our English words dynamite, dynamo, and dynamic. In Luke 9:1 Jesus called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. In the same way the body of Christ will be endued with dunamis power when these power cords are connected.

These power cords were orange. In Bob’s revelation of the fruit of the Spirit the orange represents Love. When we live in the power of love no enemy can defeat us. Love is the glue that holds all things together and the enemy has no defense against it. All the commandments are hinged on one word “LOVE” and it conquers all sickness, disease and poverty. Then when power is released, all things we do must be done in His love and the power will flow freely.

There’s been a restoration of the foundation and now the marriage of the apostolic & prophetic is taking place being knit together in the power of Christ. There’s a tying of the knot taking place because the two are becoming one in Him. In a marriage when two become one in Christ they become strong and a three-fold cord cannot be easily broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12b) Now the power can come and it will work because they are knotted together and strengthened to make one.

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, (Ephesians 2:19-21)

What is Rite of Passage?

According to Webster – a rite of passage is a ritual, event, or experience that marks or constitutes a major milestone or change in a person’s life. A rite of passage is a ceremonial event that marks the passage from one status to another. For example, the Jewish bar mitzvah is the coming of age for a boy passing from adolescence to adulthood and taking responsibility for his actions. Birth, marriage and death are the principal worldwide occasions for rites of passage. It can also include things such as the first day of school, college or boot camp or graduation from high school or college.

Three Phases

There are three phases that rites of passage help us move through. First is Separation, leaving what is familiar. Where individuals separate from an earlier social or cultural structure. Second is the liminal phase or transition that includes a time of testing, learning and growth. It’s where the experience of something new feels foreign. The third phase is called Reintegration where one has crossed over the threshold and regained stability.

The First Phase in the life of a Christian is being separated from the world and following Christ. We separate from our old way of living, die to self, pick up our cross and follow Him. We become a new creation in Him and a foreigner to the world system.

The Second Phase seems to take the longest and perhaps the most burdensome. It’s a time of transition where you are tested on everything and the trials can seem to take forever. However I believe our attitude will determine the length of our journey in this phase. Like the children of Israel took forty years in the wilderness because of their constant grumbling and complaining. If they had a better attitude it would have only taken 11 days. In fact it cost that generation entering into the Promised Land. The attitude of our heart determines how long we remain in transition. It can be uncomfortable but Paul said he learned how to be content in all situations. I believe you can go with the flow – flow of the Holy Spirit and let Him guide you in every circumstance. As Christians we must trust the Lord and allow our faith to mature in Him.

The Third Phase is our new identity in Christ where one has crossed over the threshold and gained stability in their new life hidden in Him. They reside in Psalm 91 where they dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He is their refuge and fortress and in Him alone they will trust. He is their shield and buckler and gives His angels charge over them. When they call upon Him He answers and delivers them with long life and extends His salvation to them.

What Is Our Rite Of Passage

The Lord said, “The time is drawing nigh when I release My power to the body of believers. Long ago Bob had the revelation and now you will see it come to pass. It’s the right of passage, says God and it will not end.” What I understand the Lord to be saying is “His Power is a Christian’s Rite of Passage!” With the marriage of the apostolic and prophetic ministries standing together in unity on His firm foundation, Christ the Chief Cornerstone, then the dunamis power will be released to the body of believers. In the past we’ve seen glimpses of power moving through different individuals such as A.A. Allen, John G. Lake, Kathryn Kuhlman and Oral Roberts. Now power will be released to the whole body of Christ. Although I believe not all will receive this gift at the same time. Each Christian must go through the three phases of the rite of passage. And until they complete the third phase it will not be available to them. So let us not be jealous if our brother or sister in Christ is moving in power and we aren’t. Let’s go back and determine which phase we are in and work through it to completion.

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:19-20)

Warning To The Wise

Here is a warning the Lord gave me regarding this power. He said, “When you speak My word in agreement with Me power shall flow. The key here is agreement. You must agree with Me not Me with you. We will work as a team in tandem.” That’s a powerful word and we must take heed! We must follow Jesus example. Jesus said“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. (John 5:19) God will not trust His power to the foolish and those who will take His glory for them selves. That is why past movements failed and that is why He is tying the knot and marrying the two ministries together. Until the foundation was restored He could not release His dunamis power. Now it depends on our obedience rooted and grounded in LOVE to perform His mighty works.

  1. I really loved the word. I want to ask about the power. I have not experienced what you are talking about, but I have been pursuing God for this very thing. His power to change lives with the Gospel, and power to work the works of Jesus. How do you do this? How do you make yourself ready for this power, and how can you obtain it?
