It’s Time For The Wheat To Arise

Three Decrees

I believe this is an important message to the body of Christ and it speaks of the time of harvest and the season we’ve entered. A few days ago, I was awakened during the night with a burden for the wheat and the tares. I woke myself by speaking out loud and I found it to be profound. I continued to proclaim the same three decrees until the burden lifted. At which time I wrote them down.

It’s time for the wheat to arise in power to overtake the tares.

It’s time for the sheep to return to the flock.

It’s time for the sheep to return to the Good Shepherd.

Parable of the Sower

Many times, the Lord spoke in parables and often He used farming terms, it was a language they could relate to. In Matthew 13 Jesus taught the parable of the wheat and tares.  Here we see that the man sowed good seed in his field but while he slept the enemy came in and sowed tares among the wheat. Of course, the servants come in and questioned him about the situation. The servant was disappointed with the current state of the field and therefore wanted to pull up the tares so that the wheat would thrive. But the Sower said no, let them both grow together until the harvest. Both the wheat and the tares must mature in the same field. There’s danger in removing the tares while the wheat grows to full maturity. It’s in this stage their roots can become intermingled and removing wheat before its fully ready could damage or kill it. They must grow in the same field together until the time of harvest. (Matthew 13:24-29a)

Jesus explained this parable to His disciples in verses 37-39.

He who sows the good seed is the Son of man.

**The seed of God in mankind.

The field is the world.

**The world was good until it was made corrupt by mankind.

The good seeds are the sons of the Kingdom,

**Those who are born again in Christ – the heirs of salvation.

But the tares are the sons of the wicked one.

**Those who never accept Christ as Lord and Savior.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil.

**Satan, the enemy of the Lord

The harvest is the end of the age.

**The period that precedes the coming of the Lord.

And the reapers are the angels.

**They separate the wheat from the tares.

Now let’s look at the three prophetic decrees.

It’s time for the wheat to arise in power to overtake the tares.

I’m afraid much of the church has fallen into the Laodicean syndrome. The Laodiceans were neither hot nor cold, the Lord said they were lukewarm. In their opinion they had become wealthy and in need of nothing. But the Lord said they were wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. He advised them to repent. (Revelation 3:14-22) And that is where the Bride of Christ has been – in a place of having a repentant heart, turning away from worldly ways and being led by the Holy Spirit of God.

I believe that in this day the remnant, the overcomers, the Bride is arising to the call. She has awakened out of her slumber and now entered the boldness Peter prophesied in Acts 4:31. And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11) The overcomers that arise in the earth today come forth in power, in boldness, holiness, truth and love. They never retreat nor back down from the enemy. For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20) and His word is sharper than any two-edged sword. Hebrews 4:12) We must stand strong on the Rock of our Salvation and storm the gates of hell. For Jesus said that from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12)

It’s time for the sheep to return to the flock.

We can’t blame everything on COVID however it did a real number on the church. Government forced churches to be closed and people to remain home. However, since the ban has lifted many have chosen not to return to church. This has been devastating in many ways and many churches have closed permanently. God did not create mankind to be alone. Eve is evidence of that theory. The first church was in Antioch in the time of the Apostles. (Acts 11:20) We need one another to mature spiritually in the Word, deed, understanding, love, direction and correction. Christians are all part of the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-31)

In my lifetime and probably many years prior, the body of Christ has been asleep and therefore the enemy has taken the upper hand. Remember the devil is crafty and subtle and slowly crept through the crevasses we created by our lack of discernment. Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray (Matthew 26:41) so they wouldn’t fall into temptation. By the church’s failure to watch and pray the enemy entered our schools first by removing prayer in the 1960’s and he continued his assault.  As a result, today our children, beginning in kindergarten, are forced to learn yoga, sex education, gender identity and sexual orientation instead of any faith based Christian morals. School shootings have increased as well as adolescent suicides. The list goes on and on in a negative direction. Clearly, we as a church body have failed the little lambs God entrusted to His sheep.

It’s time for the sheep to return to the flock and return to the church where God has called them. We must put our differences aside and come into a spirit of unity. (Psalm 133:1) If we are born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ then we should be maturing in His divine nature by developing the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) And operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:1-12)

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

It’s time for the sheep to return to the Good Shepherd.

For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness, (Psalm 95:7-8)

In John chapter 4 Jesus said the sheep follow Him because they know His voice. He is the door of the sheep. He is the Good Shepherd who gives His life for them. I believe we are witnessing the rending of hearts taking place as they turn back to God in a greater measure than we’ve seen in the past. For in the latter days God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17). And when the anointing of the Holy Spirit touches the darkness of a Christians heart, it causes them to repent. Then forgiveness takes place, and the light of God replaces the darkness. And the power of God will flow freely through His sons and daughters to fulfill the great commission.

If you are born again, you can hear the voice of God. He continues to speak in a still small voice (1 Kings 19:12) and He is speaking to His sheep today. If you have wandered off the path of righteousness, turn around and return to the cross. He is waiting for you there. No one has ever fallen so far down or away that God will not forgive them and welcome them back into the sheepfold.

Angels That Gather

Let me conclude with one last thought. Verse 37 says the Son of man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness. So, what is lawlessness? Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God’s law by transgression or neglect—being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will). (1 John 3:4 Amplified)

In the parable of the wheat and tares, the field is the world but, in this verse, we are talking about the Kingdom. And the things that cause offense and create lawlessness among the wheat, the children of God, the heirs of salvation will be gathered out. Peter says, the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

The Bible warns about false prophets (false teaching). Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (Matthew 7:15) They will rise up and deceive many (Matthew 24:11) and will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:24) False teachers can lead the sheep astray from the true Gospel which can lead to lawlessness if not properly discerned. Some believers join ranks with those who call evil good, and good evil condoning abortion and same-sex marriage, etc. But God says “Woe” to them. (Isaiah 5:20)

Therefore, I believe those who cause offense and practice lawlessness in the church are going to be dealt with first. Jesus warned His disciples in Matthew 13:4-5. He said, “Take heed that no one deceives you for many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ and will deceive many. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” (Matthew 13:10-12)

So, I believe this is a message from the heart of the Father for His children to decree this word. It’s time for the wheat to arise in power to overtake the tares. Although the love of many will grow cold, His sheep must be on fire ignited by the Holy Spirit of Truth. It’s time for the sheep to return to the flock. Get back to the church in a spirit of unity. Have relationship with God and with other believers. Stand on the truth of the gospel and the cross of Jesus Christ. And it’s time for the sheep to return to the Good Shepherd. Avoid at all costs false doctrine and false teachers. He is the Good Shepherd, hear His voice and obey. Radical obedience is key to staying in the perfect will of God. Amen.
